OVERVIEW
Upgrading the user experience in seeking legal help, is a user experience design project conducted to better understand people's misconceptions and fears when claiming workers' compensation benefits.
I was tasked with developing a strategy to reveal people's preferences, requirements, frustrations, and desires when navigating the legal system in order to create an upgraded experience with the Law Firm.
ROLE
User Experience Designer
Summer 2021
BACKGROUND
I conducted this research study for an academic assignment.
Obtaining workers' compensation payments can be a complicated, frustrating, and time-consuming process. This is because, unfortunately, while insurers are supposed to be meant to protect and help people, the reality is that they will go to great lengths to limit or even refuse to pay out money when a person is in need.
Injured workers have multiple reasons for being upset when claiming workers' compensation, and interacting with their attorney shouldn’t be one of them.
In this user-centered design project, I will try my best to conduct good research that gives me the insights I need to improve somehow the experience of claiming workers' compensation benefits.

In this project, I used the double diamond design thinking process.
