Through my Competitive Analysis, I meticulously evaluated multiple platforms providing legal advice and consultation services. This analysis provided valuable insights into their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. With this understanding, I can develop a tool to refine service offerings, enhance customer satisfaction, and ultimately, gain an advantage in a competitive market.
SURVEYS
26 individuals participated in a survey aimed at understanding where individuals who had applied for a migration process in the United States had sought information to apply for the process and found a lawyer to represent them. These are the insights.
LITERATURE RESEARCH
In this literature research, I focus on understanding the behaviors of individuals seeking immigration legal services. My goal is to identify their most significant challenges, needs, and aspirations during their quest to understand immigration laws and opportunities, and their experiences in finding representation. By gaining these insights, I aim to improve the process significantly, making it more user-friendly, efficient, and satisfying for the clients.

IDEATE: Design Recommendations
MID-FI PROTOTYPE
Given that my participants were hesitant to engage repeatedly in the testing process, I decided to develop a medium fidelity prototype. This approach aimed to test the tool in a manner that closely mirrored its intended final form.
TESTING THE PROTOTYPE
NEXT STEPS:
While the prototype requires further adjustments to improve its usability and clarity, the concept behind the platform resonated with my participants. The majority successfully completed the assigned tasks and assimilated legal concepts. This reinforces my conviction that integrating visual aids greatly enhances comprehension of legal subjects that are typically presented in intricate and lackluster ways.
My goal is to optimize the product for market launch. For this reason, I will continue to refine it and conduct tests, not only with individuals interested in immigration processes but also with lawyers, who can provide a valuable and different perspective.
